The security around him has to be unprecedented, yes? I hope they do a good job, because there are more loonies around now than when Manson girls tried to fire guns at Gerald Ford.
I wish I could be more hopeful that some psycho idiots won't keep taking shots at him. Lots of times when good things are finally getting done in America, it ends in a bullet.

Any sentient individual with more than a room temperature IQ should understand that the MSM, if it continues with it's all out assault on President Trump knows that the President is a target of many crazies in the country. All they do is push these individuals into action. We have no idea how many people are under investigation for the POTENTIAL of assassination. I hope the new USSS head is up to the task!

Believe it's mean spirited and hypocritical for Trump to end security for ex government officials because they had the audacity to disagree with him

Who did he do that to? Been too much news to keep up with.
Assuming he's included, why would Fauci need security? Or a pardon? And what did he disagree with Trump about?

Yeah, that was a half assed post I just tossed up there.
John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Brian Hook, and Dr Fauci. All of them have been subject to death threats. The first three were involved in planning the drone attacks on Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani in January 2020. Senator Cotton has pushed back on the decision. He points out to get the most qualified people to work for the government on controversial projects you need to show a willingness to protect them
“It’s better to be safe than sorry, because it’s not just about these men who helped President Trump carry out his policy in his first term,” Cotton said. “It’s about their family and friends, innocent bystanders every time they’re in public.”
Cotton also suggested that Trump’s decision to remove their security protection could have a chilling effect on the president’s ability to hire the most qualified advisers in the future.
“It’s also about the president being able to get good people and get good advice,” Cotton said. “They might hesitate to do so, or they might hesitate if they’re in office to give him the advice he needs to carry out the policies that he decides upon.”

John Bolton aka war monger has a pension a mile long and a net worth of 6 million. He has not served in Government since 2019
He can get his own security.
Neo-con Pompeo has been out of service since 2021. Security is in the yellow pages.
The exception is whats in the law. Former Presidents and first ladies have security for life....unless they opt out.
Of course the press stops their analysis of the matter at the Presidential act.....as if 'security' is a lifetime perk. We're growing past that and never looking back.
