Not to be a Debbie Downer here.....but Winker is the LH version of Kyle Lewis......he just can't stay healthy. Plus hitting in Cincy is like Colorado East.....In his career, away from Cincy, he has an OPS+ of 90. We gave up one if the best LHS in the minors in Williamson for this package.

We could trade for Mike Trout and some people here would still bitch and moan. We got a haul for not much. Be happy. We are a better team now then we were yesterday…that’s all that should matter

Jesus I feel like I need to write a formal letter of apology to JD. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. Got Impact bats to play on the left side of the field (one is LH) and didn't have to give up prospects to do it. And we are still only about $100M in payroll.

I know. I feel much the same. Given how much money he didn't spend, do you think we are in for one more splashy move? I mean I don't know what else we need - maybe another starting pitcher. Not much out there in free agency...so does this mean we are done for now?

I have made no secret about the fact that I don't care for Jerry.

Adding 3 all-stars including a cy young award winner is a heck of an off season though.

Can David Price can still start? He can move back to the pen when a prospect starter forces his way into the rotation. I wonder what it will cost to pry him from the dodgers.

I like Danny Duffy and Tyler Anderson. Price could work though too.

Blake Snell, Shoreline's own. His dad, Dave, has Seattle Select Baseball Club here in Shoreline, next door to my workplace. Met him a couple of times.
It would be nice to bring lefty Blake here. Would add a little buzz to all of this. Get a lefty back in the fold what with our Williamson loss (yeah, different era and career paths). How is Snell's arm holding up? Has had some arm/elbow issues including undergoing arthroscopic surgery in July/August, 2019 to remove loose bodies in his left elbow. Hasn't been as dominate since.

Hope you weren't talking former M's pitcher Ian Snell. Hasn't pitched in the majors since his 0-5, 6.41 ERA season in 2010 with Seattle. He's 40 y.o. now.

God Damn JD...he just cannot help himself. I actually like the trade but we got one good bat out of it imho. I still think we are a power bat short.
I'm for trading some of our outfielders like Lewis plus a Toro or a decent prospect for starting pitching. But Jesus Jerry can't you just sign a high profile free agent for once?!?! Seattle Mariners....AAAA club of the majors. I just want Jerry to surprise me once with the obvious move.
