Both teams have outstanding lines . Gonna need both Predators healthy for those games. Amd of course no Thompson.

Re: Post Mortem: Seahawks v Bungles
One of my main takeaway's from this game is that we were not at all playing at full strength - several starters on defense not even playing. Adding in this team always gets out of the gate slowly, this defense could end up having a pretty formidable front seven. I think the offense will click - they always seem to play ultra conservative early on. It's maddening, but I'd rather they peak later than now, which I think they are definitely on track for.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 5:35 amHe even managed to take out his own team mate once. The guy just isn't very good.

Just can't squander another HFA in playoffs by deciding to not get it together until after Halloween.

I don't think this team is at all positioned for a #1 seed. They could possibly win the West, but a top seed? That's not realistic - you can't honestly think that. They're not even the best team in their own division, on paper. They have a lot of new young players and newer moving parts and a flat-out shitty secondary in a pass-happy league. HFA is not happening, even with the rosiest glasses on. That doesn't mean they can't make some noise come playoff time once the team has gelled and found their groove. In the playoffs anything can happen - especially with RW and that defensive core and a legit special teams. And my claiming they aren't a top seed isn't a knock on them - it's realistically acknowledging better, more complete teams exist in the NFC - The Lambs, Phila, maybe Dallas, NO and GB. And that Bears defense - unfortunately for Chi fans - there's the Trubisky factor. Those are seasoned teams. HFA? That's not a realistic expectation.

Not only the #1 seed gets to play a home game.auroraave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:38 pmI don't think this team is at all positioned for a #1 seed. They could possibly win the West, but a top seed? So please explain your vision for HFA. The only team that truly has HFA is the #1 seed, until they are gone, then #2, until they are gone... where exactly are you expecting Seattle to land? Division winner? Wild card? "HFA" throughout the playoffs suggests a #1 seed. Teams besides #1's can/do play a home game. What are you expecting Seattle to do?D-train wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:54 pmNot only the #1 seed gets to play a home game.auroraave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:38 pmI don't think this team is at all positioned for a #1 seed. I didn't say HFA throughout the playoffs. All I said was if they're going to blow games early in the season while they get their shit together then they're going to have less chance at playing home games in the playoffs. Pretty simple.

HFA applies to the highest seed left. There have been several times the Conference Championship games were played at the site of a team lower than 1, and a few lower than 2.
Winning your division will get you a home game...and blowing early games can hinder that. Look at the 0 and 2 start last year.

And considering we haven't lost a home playoff game in almost 15 years I think the goal should be to play as many as possible.
