If he goes on the IL before the end of the season then definitely don't give a QO, unless it's for covid.

I say a 1 year deal with a couple of options that are based on PA so that they have protection and can get out of the deal if he is injured for a long span again.

I hope they get him back on a 1-year deal. He's gotta prove he can stay healthy before getting anything significant.

Outside of Aaron Judge and Brandon Nimmo, it's really thin pickings in free agency in the OF. Nimmo is sure fire to re-sign w. the Mets.

I still don't think they can comfortably rely on Trammell, Kelenic, or anyone else in house to be a stalwart out there.

Go get Aaron Judge, bring back Mitch on a 1-year deal.
Joc Pederson maybe or maybe Benitendi but yeah not much.
I'm not sure Pederson is a reliable OF anymore. He's pretty terrible out there. More of a DH these days.

Benintendi would be an OK signing... if they were really interested they would have maybe traded for him though?

I'm looking at this year's f/a signings as being the big boy variety that sky rocket us.

Judge. Judge. Judge! :D
Nimmo is another option as well

With all due respect...
I didn't answer the poll because it gave me a headache!

Mitch will be back with a multiyear ride into the sunset offer should we make noise in the playoffs.
Otherwise nice knowing you Mitch we love you but you get hurt too much.

He is not worth a QO because of the time it takes him to heal. A high ankle sprain and it takes him 5 months to recover from it. The rest of the league would never go that high on a deal, so why should the M's? A 2yr $25mill with an option for a $12.5 mill third year that activates after 260 regular season games played.

He isn't worth $19M so you are going to give him $25M guaranteed with an option for $37.5M? Interesting.

They aren't going to give him a multi year offer. It would have been done already.

They were still counting on powder boy when that window for offers was appropriate. Then Mitch got hurt. I still think a 3 yr deal is a good one given the market. Mitch has 3 more good yrs
