Haniger Poll
Re: Haniger Poll
I am fundamentally against banning the shift but if it increases offense I will be able to live with it.
I was originally against a runner on second to start X innings but now LOVE it.

I don't even think they need to ban the shift entirely. Just make the infielders stay on the dirt until the ball is hit and that would do a ton. These second baseman playing rover 30 feet back on the grass is taking what should be solid line drive hits and turning them into outs.

I didn't miss it. I am just giving my opinion on what they should have done.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 10:30 pmYou must have missed the details?Captain 97 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 10:28 pmI don't even think they need to ban the shift entirely. Re: Haniger Poll
Well that is exactly what they did or maybe you are saying they shouldn't have banned three INFers on one side of 2B..Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2022 5:57 pmI didn't miss it. Re: Haniger Poll
That is probably true. The shift killed his average. And after a year off maybe his brother convinces him for one last go. Especially so if they could find a way to add pitching. But the Rangers could trade for a guy like Flexen. And got out and sign Rodon or one of the other good starters. Yes, do that and have up years from Seager, Marcus, and co. Heim, Lowe, Garcia, and tavarez look pretty good
