I didn't know this...

But Ryan Divish is on video last year saying the M's put an offer in for Juan Soto. He said that package included Logan Gilbert but wasn't considered as serious as the Padres package to the Nats.

Would you guys do Logan Gilbert for Juan Soto and Blake Snell?

Soto is actually a guy you'd want to give that 10-year $400 million to. He's not even 25 yet.
maybe

I would do this in a heart beat:

lol that's cause you hate Ford. I want him to stick around and see how his bat plays out.
So wait until he has zero value like Evan White then. Got it. lol

I wonder what it would take to grab Luis Robert off the Sox, Franco off the Rays or Witt off the Royals ?
I was looking at him when I did the Lane Thomas for Ford trade but thought he would be too expensive. I will take a look.

Luis Robert's value is 99 so would need to do like a Gilbert AND Brash.

Robert is known for taking plays and days off. Bad attitude. Severe injury history... prior to '23 he had only played 98 and 68 games over a 162-game season. Career 4.61 K/BB ratio is not exactly the style of offense the M's are looking to inject in their offense. This year it's even worse with 126 K's to just 22 walks.

His value comes from playing CF but the M's aren't moving Julio out of position.

No ty.

M's could have drafted Lane Thomas in the 5th round in 2014 but thought Dan Altavilla was the way to go. lol

They would have had to find 500K more to sign him
