To play the devils advocate...Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 5:23 pmFlorida State plays North Alabama this week! They haven't played a ranked team since beating LSU, and they won't play a ranked team again this year.
Clemson is 6 and 4. FSU beat them 31 to 24.
Boston College is 6-4. FSU beat them 31-29
Virginia Tech is 5-5. FSU beat them 39-17.
Pitt is 2-8. FSU beat them 24 - 7, but it was 10-7 at the half.
Miami is 6-4. FSU beat them 27-20, and it was 10 to 10 at the half.
Does ANYONE think we wouldn't be taking shit tons of heat if those were our scores? We played two straight mediocre teams and had mediocre performances against them, and half the college football world wants to write us off. FSU's BEST win is over a three loss LSU team. They have played nothing but mediocrity since with mostly mediocre performances.
If FSU was undefeated AND beat Oregon? I promise you they would not be #4....we have a BETTER resume, and are #5. It's straight up bullshit.
Arizona State is 3-7 and we beat them 15-7. We were losing 7-3 at the start of the 4th quarter and didn't take the lead until there was 8 minutes left in the game.
Stanford is is also 3-7 and we beat them 42-33 and it was 35-33 with under 2 minutes left in the game.
We actually were getting some first place votes in the AP after the Oregon game. If we had taken care of business in those two games we would easily be ahead of FSU and maybe even ahead of Michigan.

Valid, but we were never ahead of Florida State. We have had two clunker victories and they have had mostly clunker victories. He had more big wins than them as well. There is no rhyme or reason. I mean, we get punished more for two bad wins in a row than they do for a season's worth of bad wins? This shit reminds me of a few years ago when that fucker from ESPN put a bunch of cupcakes on the screen to describe the Huskies schedule. It was a bullshit move, but it was valid, and it would be valid for Florida State and Michigan as well.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 4:39 pm

During our two clunkers we didn't have the same Dillon Johnson we have had the past two weeks. That guy is scary. I don't know what happened between Stanford and USC but he's put up over 350 yards in two games. He is quick and nothing but muscle. I think we win tomorrow if Johnson puts more than 75 yards on the board. If he doesn't, it might come down to the last play. UW 34-22, unfortunately I have a very bad record picking these games.

I hope that happens too.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 5:01 pmI expect FSU to lose to Louisville in the the ACC championship game.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 4:39 pmFlorida State doesn't have any feather in their cap. Where we have beat 4 top 25 teams (at the time of the game or newly ranked) in the last 6 weeks. Then we have another this week, and then a top 10 team in the P12 Championship Game.
That is one hell of a gauntlet we are currently navigating....and everyone seems to be mentioning it, but down-playing it. Always taking it back to the ASU win.
