I’m waiting for ST when Dipoto brings in more Wong types saying that they were the best available and will do a lot to help the team. I am wondering what his definition of patience is? 50, 60 years? We’ve been waiting for 46 now. If Dipoto asked the fan base, they would probably tell him to not worry about the future as they want a WS.

If this is the squad that they bring to Spring Training then I won't be following the Mariners this year.

Are the Mariners really going into 2024 with this AA lineup??

They are going to be so bad next year. Cringe worthy bad.

JD has said that he plans on getting 1 middle-of-the-order bat and 1/2 a player. His 1&1/2 bats statement. Think Teo and AJP re-run.

Oh, so instead of being a 70 win team they'll be an 80 win team.

We need a barf emoji

Believe he said one and one half outfielders because one would be a platoon and a DH that might hit towards the middle of the order

Half a player sounds like Mitch Garver, but Spotrac projects a 3-year 30 million contract for him, which I think would be a big mistake. It would make a lot more sense to sign Tom Murphy and take your chances with the injuries. Then you can put Seby in Tacoma where he belongs, or DFA him if he doesn't have options.

But Garver would look a lot better on a 2-year deal at 8 per year. Maybe you give him a third year team option with a buyout or something. I guess we'll see what his market is since guys are starting to sign now.

Garver had an .809 Away OPS in 2023 and a .812 for his career. That's pretty much the player he is.

Combined with the .700 OPS he'd probably have at Safeco amd he's pretty much the same player Geno and Teoscar were last season.

Which, isn't good enough as a main piece, but as the 3rd or 4th best pick up he'd be ok. Except at DH.

I wouldn't want to use a roster spot on the guy personally, he's old and the downside potential would be pretty drastic imo.

I just seen that the rich keep getting richer.

Yamamoto to meet with L.A.D.
Pretty soon he'll go, Bauer, Snell, and everybody else who could push the needle. My god, this is depressing.
