I know it is a weird thing to be annoyed by but I also won't miss seeing that creepy beard of his. Dude is a good looking guy. How does he think that thing is a good idea. Has a total Mexican prison yard vibe. lol

OK - spitballing here. Just for shits and giggles.
MLB reports that the Mets are actively shopping for starting pitching. They aren't in the hunt for big name FA because of the price tag.

So yeah - we have pitching. One thing the Mets have a shitload of is middle infielders. McNeil is signed through 2026 with a club option for 2027, so they have 2B locked down. And of course they have Lindor at SS.
But they also have 2 top tier infielders just busting onto the scene; their #1 prospect Luisangel Acuña is MLB ready and plays SS/2B. He carries a .286/.366/.416 slash line in the minors. Ronny Mauricio can play corner OF, but also 2B. He is their #4 prospect who played a little at the MLB level last season. His projected slash line is .261/.327/409 in 2024. Both of these guys have about equal trade value for Miller or Woo. The question is whethger the Mets would be willing to discuss either of these guys. But they definitely have potential, we need a long term solution to 2B, and the Mets are apparently looking for young pitching.
Just saying.

Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League thread!
Dylan Moore had an .832 OPS in the second half, they just need to get out of his way and stop jerking him around.
If they're still in the market for infielders, I'd like to see them get a big bat like Harold Ramirez and move Ty France around a little.

Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League thread!
So mlbtr had an article about how TB is shopping HArold Ramirez around.
Quick reminder Harold R. Has been a 118 and 125 OPS+ guy the last two years (400 and 403) ABs ea year.
He plays OF, 1B, and DH. With the health issues of Mitch and Mitch, having a guy that can be a near perfect match as a replacement? Sounds good
Harold also plays 1B along with France and Raley. France can also 2B and 3B. There are questions about if France
will return to form. (I think less so of the other two guys in Urias and Rojas. I don’t know what it would take but he would add a good bit of insurance.
