Bowers' record-setting rookie season wasn't just great in the context of his lack of experience. It was one of the best seasons for a tight end we've ever seen, first year or not. He came up four catches short of the single-season record for receptions by a tight end and logged the 16th-most yards at 1,194. Add in 13 rushing yards and he is just one of 15 tight ends in league history to top 1,200 yards from scrimmage.

I would seriously think about it. I think he would fit our new OC.

I just don’t believe we will even have to debate it. He will be gone by 18. The TE position has totally changed and it is a focal position now.

I actually wanted to trade with the raiders for TE Mayer. With Bowers I thought he’d be expendable. Now I don’t think they will with Pete there.

That might be one of my favorites so far. If we could figure out the cap? That draft would make us better next year. I just don't know how they figure out the cap. Imagine going into next year with Howell at QB and JSN and Bobo as our WRs?

I'm coming around to the idea of Milroe. Play Howell next year and basically tank. Use Milroe in a pseudo Taysom Hill roll, then see how things are going around mid season.

Milroe to me is a good gamble as a second-tier QB prospect. Big arm, great legs and great competitor, all the physical traits - not unlike Geno in that regard, but a better runner. Didnt watch him too much but know he threw his share of picks - likely needs work reading coverage and mental processing.

Actually, Jackson played tackle superbly the last half of the season. So without thinking you were doing it, you got a very nice G/T combo with your first pick!

My concern about Milroe is the same as all Ohio State QB's - they are on teams so loaded with talent all they have to do is NOT lose the game. Ohio State QB's are always getting drafted and rarely translate to the NFL game. Yes, I am aware CJ Stroud is playing well - but he is the exception to the rule. That said, it would not eliminate Milroe as a pick - it just dials down expectations. Next Gen QB's all have to be runners as well - it's just where the game is going - but can they actually run a passing offense as well? He could be a fun addition. Seattle HAS to get a QB in this draft - they should be adding to that room every year or looking to improve it.

I can see that...but I always kind of thought the issue with Ohio State QBs was the offense they ran. Even under Urban Meyer, I mean, what QB did Urban Meyer or Steve Spurrier turn into NFL guys? Fantastic college offenses, just not built to make QBs pros. I like Milroe's athleticism, but I think I would want to die watching him throw the football. I knew going in DeBoer was in trouble with his offense and that QB.
