Re: Thread for draft simulations:
I think this is one draft we don't walk away with getting a QB relatively early. Even if they sign Darnold, which I REALLY hope they don't.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Mar 10, 2025 3:25 am
I tried to create a trade that got us a 2nd round pick we just got from the Steelers. So just assume we're still drafting at 18 here. The odds of getting both Bond and Jackson in the first 56 picks are slim to none.
But who knows, maybe we get creative and use a middle round pick to trade up into the top of half of the 2nd round to make it possible.
Jackson: Future star at guard. One of the most sure players in this draft.
Nolen: Mega athlete inside. Creates a 3-headed monster inside between he, Williams, Reed.
Bond: Ran a 4.29 in the combine. Underutilized WR at Texas with elite athletic traits who was not a favorite target of Ewers (who sucks) who apparently missed him open a lot.
Kennard: Keep building the trenches. Stellar athlete with an amazing motor. Led P4 with 11.5 sacks in '24.
Belton: More trenches. Large man who could play right tackle or move inside to guard. Moves very well for 6'7 330.
Nash: 1st team All American at SJSU. Former QB transitioned to wideout. Elite speed and hands. 1,400 yards and 16 TD's in '24.
Evans: Big body at TE with amazing hands and shielding ability. Not the fleetest of foot but is hard to bring down and he's a monster catching contested passes.
Frazier: UTSA kid. Stellar athlete. Riq Woolen 2.0.
Simon: Reliable starter at LB for the Buckeyes who lacks elite measurables but wouldn't be surprising if he ends up as a starter in the NFL.
Truss: Trenches.

I kind of like that one. Wasn't Brock saying we should keep our eye on Shough? That he was a good fit? I might have my QBs I've never heard of before mixed up though! LOL

Yeah Brock is really high on Shough. He shot up on this board too after the Senior bowl. He used to be down in the 270 range. Now he is sitting at 150 which is a 4th round grade.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Mar 10, 2025 4:51 pmI kind of like that one. Wasn't Brock saying we should keep our eye on Shough? That he was a good fit? Darnold will be 28 and has been in the league for 7 seasons.

After the recent trades I think we need:
2 X WR
TE
2-3 interior line offense
Safety
LB
Edge
2 X WR
TE
2-3 interior line offense
Safety
LB
Edge

Re: Thread for draft simulations:
Ok with this one I added a couple of late 2nd by trading from 18 to 31.
The trenches.
Pick #31 DT Ranked 20th overall
Pick #63 OT # 59 ranked MBow It says his future is at center
Weapons
Pick #50 #40 overall tight end known for explosive plays and comped to deebo
#53 Milroe (ranked 44th overall) I like having a running QB you could sub him in right away and have a few scripted plays to take advantage of his athlete status
Pick #66 # 63 ranked WR 6'4" 215#
I did BPA for my next two picks and gut a LB and a safety and then hit on two more interior line candidates a 4 years starting Center from Texas in Majors, and a Clemson Guard # 182, and #168 ranked
I finished out my draft with 2 RBs Tahj Brooks a 5'9" 215# bruiser. And then Kansas's Devon Neal ranked #197 amd 207

SH you got 9 in the top 100? That is pretty impressive.
