It is wild that literally EVERYTHING is different in the EU (I know you escaped the EU but we always refer to it as the EU during my career in Pharma):
1. Temperature
2. Spelling of many words
3. 24 hour clock instead of am/pm
4. Date structure
5. Measurements - Metric vs. English (Ironic that we use English)
1. I still fight the Fahrenheit fight to be fair but that Celsius bomb has long since gone, I have finally accepted Celsius for cold temperature though. 0°C is freezing (32°F) and that actually makes sense.
2. That's my favourite thing.
3. You mean you don't use 24H clock? I am shocked with that one. We talk in am/pm but probably write in 24H generally.
4. I concede that using the month first makes sense, especially when you need to do date maths (another word) on computers.
5. Britain does still want to hold on to pints and miles but the bloody EU forced us to use litres for petrol/gas and there isn't a driver in the country who understands it. Get our Gallons back. BTW petrol is about $7 per gallon at the moment. Down from about $9 at its peak.
