6/30 GT Shove these bums' heads in toilets and give 'em a Royal flush

Post by DavidGee24 » Mon Jun 30, 2025 6:46 am

The dreaded three-headed monster of Garver/Solano/Thornton saved the team yesterday while the three-headed monster of Wilson/Julio/Vargas did everything they could to lose it. Thankfully the scrubs were better at it.

Now we get to see Bobby Witt Jr and be reminded of how a star player is supposed to develop over his first four seasons.

Kirby on the bump against Wacha who we usually thump on.

Lineups to follow.

Let's GO DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I refuse to root for these bums until they get an arm and a bat.
After the deadline they will be what they will be for the rest of their season.
The Royals play the style of baseball that our ballpark is designed for but no one gets it yet.
Small ball with a splash of power.

What a disaster this front office is.

Kirby is my neighbor from New Rochelle though. Go KIRBY!

I was surprised to see their numbers seem about a T-Mobile apart. Witt hasn't seemed to be a disappointment while Julio has, but put Witt in Seattle and who knows.

Julio had the slight edge through their first two seasons but Witt blew way past Julio last year and even with a regression in the first half of this season is still significantly better. I would want Witt for the next 5-10 years easily.

Considering Witt was ranked as the 3rd best player in baseball going into this season. There's quite a few players I might take him over
The number three spot puts Witt Jr. just behind both league MVPs from last season: Dodgers DH Shohei Ohtani (1) and Yankees CF Aaron Judge (2). Heading into 2025, Witt Jr. is widely considered the top shortstop in baseball, ahead of stars like Mets’ Francisco Lindor (6) and Orioles’ Gunnar Henderson (10).

I think that Witt might have been slightly more regarded as a #2 overall pick and in his two seasons in the minors prior to being called up he was putting up close to a .950 OPS.

On the other hand, Julio was putting up gaudy numbers and just based on that you'd think he'd hit more like Alex Rodriguez and less like Franklin Gutierrez.

When are they gonna bring up a bat from Tacoma. Too much inconsistency need a spark even with the “winning” road trip

They did bring up Canzone, and thankfully he's looked good this time up. Why they wasted a roster spot on Taveras is baffling.
