I think you take the chance on the idea that he could be slightly if not way better.

He could be similar to Canzone in that respect. Everyone wanted to go with Leody when Canzone was tearing the cover off the ball. It seems he's gotten over the bright lights of the big leagues... perhaps Locklear will be in the same spot.

Who's "everyone"? I recall the exact opposite happening. I don't think that anybody here liked Taveras except that maybe someone might have expressed that he might "pull a Robles".

I was right... they didn't want to destroy what little remains of the top portion of their farm for 2 months of Geno.

The dude can literally play anywhere.
Doesn't have a ton of power but hits decent for average and has some speed!
Would still be an upgrade over what we have.
Might make some noise in the playoffs.
