One thing that needs to happen is Kirby and Gilbert need to pitch the way they know how and stop having those inexplicable four-run innings. I'm guessing that it's just not going to happen for Miller this year and we might be stuck with Evans who should NEVER pitch in bandboxes like New York and Sacramento.

Gilbert's numbers this year are so weird. He just can't stay away from the long ball and the big inning.

Yep if this continues these offensive moves aren't really going to make that much of a difference. You're just not going to win when your giving up 6 or 7 runs every other game. They are 6-7 since the all star break. In their 7 losses the opponents have averaged 6.42 Runs per game. In the 6 wins their opponents have averaged 2.0 Runs per game.

Yeah, I kept expecting the Starters to hit their stride. It's starting to become difficult to blame all the issues on coming back from an injury for guys like Kirby and Gilbert.

Yikes Padres get Miller O hearn and Laureano today!!! Would not wanna face them in the ws. They are lethal good. Would love a gm like that. Making big deals. Padres take over Deadline winners. Jerry is happy with what he has got. Rangers not getting thier bat which is huge.

I don't know that is fair. We added a LH reliever to the pen, not a real good one, but he is serviceable. And we added the two bats we wanted, that played positions of great need, and greatly lengthened our lineup. Not making a move today isn't the end of the world. I was hoping for a leverage arm in the pen, but this isn't the season to complain about what we did at the deadline.

True but really we have a black hole in the of against lefties. Wanna dfa Moore and callup Taylor. Give him a shot. Gotta cut Moore and Solano bring up Taylor and Rivas.

Dennis Santana's name has been floating out there, and not only has he been one of the best relief pitchers in baseball this season, but he was great last season. If we got him, or even somebody close to as good as him I really think we'd have the best team in the AL. ONE MORE MOVE JERRY
