Re: You can't even make this up
Thankfully this season 85 wins might be enough to get us into the playoffs. The Royals would have to go 12-7 (and win the tiebreaker) and the Rangers 12-6 (we already hold the tiebreaker). Of course we'd like to see the boys do a lot better than close out 10-9, especially if we then have to play at Houston.

Yeah, it was a half assed re-build. They liked the saving money by losing part, and then saving money by paying young guys and not veterans part, but they never decided to add a big name. Not through FA or a trade to get them over the top. Not until the deadline of year, what? Ten of the rebuild? And still, only at the deadline. Getting this team to pony up for an impact player or two at the beginning of the year? Never going to happen. They'll hold on to the farm, and keep them hoping for the next great thing instead of going and getting one that is already great. All because it's cheaper.

Inconvenient Truth. The M's have won more playoff games than the Hawks since 2016.

Decent article here.Since MLB adopted its new postseason format in 2022 — expanding to six playoff teams from each league — the No. 3 wild card team in the AL has won 86, 89 and 86 games.
If the season ended today, the Mariners would be the No. 3 wild-card team and travel to Houston for a wild card series.

M's scored more than the Hawks yesterday. First time since Sept. 18th in LA. First game Rams played in there return to LA. I was there. $1500 trip and the scored 3 points so $500 a point. lolMichael K. wrote: ↑Mon Sep 08, 2025 7:57 pmFun fact, watching both of them play offense makes me want to rinse my eyes with bleach.

That was Pete's Kryptonite....the Rams defensive front. Also the game Russ blew his knee, and somehow finished. It was the beginning of the end of us ever putting together an offensive worth watching against LA.
