Where were you on 9-11???

I was working for a bank here in the city.
They had this mandatory law that all employees take at least 10 days off during the year.
Some anti-fraud practice to catch white collar crimes being committed.
So...on 911 instead of visiting vendors downtown near building 5 of the world financial center
I was sleeping in on a personal day off in the Bronx.

I woke up to my wife's phone call of a plane crashing into the towers.
Like everyone else I watched the horror on television.
I thank God to this day I wasn't part of it.

We lost friends 12 firefighters and one older friend shopping in the area that died from debris.
Some of our colleagues suffered serious lung issues and trauma after that.

I heard a story today of a woman coming down the stairwell in tower 2 when the first building came down.
They were told to go back upstairs to their offices.
She refused thinking about her kids and kept going down and out of the building when the second building was hit.
Her dad a retired police officer now got her out.

You can't totally plan for tragedy all you can do is react the best way you can and help others if possible.

On much brighter news we win tonight we're in first again.

Touching 9-11 story. Tragic travesty on U.S. soil.
I was in Seattle on a sales call in a home.
My female client and I just watched the news on a small TV in her kitchen.
At first, we thought it was a "War of the Worlds" hoax, but very quickly realized this was real and no joke.
Sorry for you being so close to hell. The victims, well, there is no way to adequately fully understand the depth of horror, stress and loss so many experienced.
