Interesting observation. Either our D is really incredible or it was a huge wakeup call to a couple of teams - who maybe took us too lightly (?)auroraave wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:30 pmSo what you're basically saying is Seattle is simultaneously the best and worst thing that's happened to those teams and, ultimately, the entire NFL. Am I reading the tea leaves correctly?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:16 pmSo you know how we talk about other teams getting so beat up by the Hawks that they suck the next game? Well, the Failcons after their beatdown from us went out there last night on a short week, rolled up almost 500 yards of total offense and won. Last weekend the Viqueens after their beatdown from us pulled off the extremely rare reverse shutout.
Let's see what Rivers thinks come monday from his wheelchair in the ICU. I just cannot imagine a world where he can handle the speed of this defense. Seattle gonna load up to stuff the run and force 'ole man rivers to beat them, I suspect. I've always liked Rivers. I just don't want him to get bludgeoned (too badly).

Tied for the best record in the NFC and one win away from tied for the best record in the NFL. I have a hard time believing anyone took us too lightly.
Re: Around the League
Yup, this seems like a '70s drive-in movie script where the old decrepit mouthy QB arrives late after he is signed for one game on work release, beats the champs on the road, tells all their fans to fuck off, and then bangs a few local cheerleaders on his way out of the stadium and goes on the lam.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:04 pmMy fear is that he will get killed and then Warren Beatty will run out onto the field, take over his body, and win the game.douche wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 4:29 pmIt's crazy. 44 yrs old and been out of the league for 5 years. If he isn't flat out killed, he'll likely break a leg, tweak his back or pull a groin. This has got disaster written all over it. I have a feeling the Colts will rely heavily on the run. But who knows.![]()

I have that DVD, it's great. In the opening shot you get a look at "old" Seattle and you'll see a sign for a furniture store that says "Funes." That store was owned by the grandparents of one of my oldest friends from MI. We shared an apartment in high school our senior year after we both got booted from our parents' homes lol.
Re: Around the League
Was that true going into the Minnesota game? We had just come off a less than impressive win against a pretty bad Tennessee team.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:31 pmTied for the best record in the NFC and one win away from tied for the best record in the NFL. Holy shit!
More than four years after playing his last snap, Rivers will be elevated from the Indianapolis Colts practice squad to the team's active roster to start against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported Saturday.
