Sorry, it just really irritates me. Yeah, they have the shittiest offense in baseball currently. But there's been like 3-4 games they still could have won if not for all their other fuck ups. The offense will get going but when they miss the playoffs by a game everyone will point at the offenses slow start at the beginning of the season but they still could have won the damn games!

Fuck the defense, if they hit they way they are paid to hit they are most likely 9 and 3 right now. Does bad baserunning and poor defense look bad? Complaining about the defense is like getting mad about your dinner being cold, and it's fucking cereal. They didn't pay anyone besides maybe JP because of defense, and he is only paid to play defense because he is a dogshit hitter!

This team is basically built for defense.

But, like hitting and pitching sometimes you don't get 100%, even from the good defenders.

That's why you'll never win without bats. Or pitching.

Defense is the lowest rung of importance. If theyd hit better or not given up the big hit, they probably win most of those games too.

But adding more defense isnt going to help improve the team if it doesn't have an upgraded bat attached.

It's that they are letting wins slip through their fingers by playing crappy baseball. It's basically wasting a stretch of great pitching. Sure, the offense will pick up and then the pitching will probably fall apart. They have lost a series of low scoring one run games where regardless of their hitting if they just made basic plays they could have won them.

Don't chuck the ball into right field, don't miss the bag rounding first and you win the game, they've lost a string of games now because of crap like that. It's not like a skill thing like hitting a 98mph fastball, it's having your head in the game. Sorry, it bothers the hell out of me

They fucking suck at hitting a baseball, it's a reacurring theme, and I have grown sick of it. My evening was pretty pleasant last night. I got an update that they lost and I was like "oh yeah, they played today". They aren't worth watching, and I get the games for free.

It's not like I'm a fan of defense. Sure, the terrible offense makes for dreary baseball. But we always complain about the hitting, that's endless, that's a constant. Wilson can go on about good at bats or whatever, that's this constant noise that goes on.

But even if you can't hit the fucking ball you can still win the game if you just don't fuck up the routine stuff. Yeah, that has me beating my head against the wall.

It's like the Leody Taveras deal. He can't hit for shit but make the fucking play, at least catch the stupid ball for Christ sake.

I really see the issue of the offense as an excuse. Guys are scuffling at the plate bla bla bla. There's no excuse for some of the dumb shit they are doing in the field. That's not about taking extra batting practice or having good at bats or seeing the ball. It's just not fucking shit up
