4/16/26 Eddie Vedder about to roll over in his grave game thread
Obviously, Vedder isn't dead but I imagine that he'll die of grief if we get swept today.
Man, what a crushing loss last night. Just inexcusable with the worst part being that Ty France chopper that Munoz somehow botched. Not only did he pitch like shit, but he fails to make a play that my 59 year old sorry ass would have made.
One would like to think that Castillo being a pro will come out and throw a good game but we've already gotten two of those with nothing to show for it.
The front office SERIOUSLY viewed Ferrer as a prize? That 1.43 WHIP and last night kind of say otherwise. That and his 1.27 WHIP and 4.48 ERA in 2025. Follow the trail of clues that begin there and you crack the case rather quickly, and you won't even need Fred and Velma to recap it for you.
I've got a doubleheader to play tonight starting at 6:30 and the Mariners had better get more hits than I do.
Now let's go out there, knock those bums down, and fart on their heads.

And Ferrer was the ONLY addition to the BP....the same BP that cost us the WS last season...all to save a little bit of money.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 7:42 pmObviously, Vedder isn't dead but I imagine that he'll die of grief if we get swept today.

Ferrer so far has been a good addition to the bullpen. He needs another pitch though.

I would have bet money that Gee would have spaced and gotten his thread stolen today
So, this feels like the beginning of a long Gee Winning Streak. Make it so!
David, good luck in your doubleheader tonight!

I'm a tax pro so if it had my turn yesterday (4/15) I might well have spaced.rockycola wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 9:32 pmI would have bet money that Gee would have spaced and gotten his thread stolen today![]()

Good Luck and Godspeed ya lowly Mariners 2026-04-16.jpg
I did bat 1.000 last year though on game threads after being below the Mendoza line in 2024.

Well he wasn't great last night. Damn you sure nailed it with your Munoz rant last week....

Drives me insane they list the time of the game on the West Coast between two West Coast teams in EDT and then don't even put EDT after the time.rockycola wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 9:32 pmI would have bet money that Gee would have spaced and gotten his thread stolen today![]()

1.43 WHIP and 6 Ks in 7 innings for a reliever???? You just negated your good Munoz take.....

My observation on Ferrer is that his heater is straight as a string and even DMoore can hit that. How our advanced guys could miss that flaw is beyond me.
