Can't be soon enough. Can something happen to Dipshit please. I beg you please. Anything. Stroke would work. Aneuryism, I don't care. I want winning baseball in my lifetime. This shit is not even fun. Dumb fucks go to these games expecting greatness & it couldn't be the furthest thing from that. Literally.

Then what is the reason? The defense? Lol.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 4:46 amSo the mariners are 6-11 in one run games this season, what's their record in extra innings? Those are games they seemed to excel at winning in the past didn't they? Is this regression or an indication of just not playing good baseball? You can complain about the platooning but that's not the reason they are two games under. 500
They don't have a good enough offense because they're using platoon bums.
And most of us saw it coming.

But it's a constant, they've always done it. It's not the difference between this season and lastbpj wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 11:06 amThen what is the reason? The defense? Shitty offense, schizophrenic defense, piss poor managing, idiotic platoon philosophy.....did I miss a reason?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 4:46 amSo the mariners are 6-11 in one run games this season, what's their record in extra innings? Oh, I know, they are not as good as they were last year, and they don't' give a shit because they weren't going to spend the money to be better than last year. Look at the lineup that played in October, and tell me that there would have been room for Refsnyder, Rivas, Garver, Jo or Robles? Oh, and now that Cole Young has cooled off, we aren't any better off with him than we were with Polanco.
No one in their right mind thought this offense was better, it's just cheaper than the alternative. Throw in that there was NO chance that Raleigh and Naylor repeated the success they had last season?

He is. I just don't know where is going to play full time since they aren't moving JP off of SS.

Their key platoon guy is hitting .116 with a .456 OPS vs. LHPs and they start him vs. all LH starters and PH them in them in the middle of games benching far better hitters resulting in them inevitably getting PAs in key situations vs. RH relievers but that isn't part of the problem???Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 4:46 amSo the mariners are 6-11 in one run games this season, what's their record in extra innings? They are currently 21-23. On June 11th last season they were 33-34. Its always because of the half ass Frankenstein roster construction and platoons.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 12:12 pmBut it's a constant, they've always done it. Yeah, I was thinking it could be a question of a decent win streak or two. Honestly, if your biggest roster issue is a bench platoon bat is the roster really that big an issue? As opposed to say the Mets? Thats roster issues to me
Re: 5/13/2026: welcome back Miller time
Yes it is because they don't just start them vs. LHPs they PH them in the middle of almost ever game they don't start.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 3:54 pmYeah, I was thinking it could be a question of a decent win streak or two.
