Possible Quick Fix

Post by AZOldDawg » Fri Jun 26, 2026 7:05 pm

Trade for the Colorado reliever whose name I can’t spell and find a way to pry Buxton away from the Twins. We become exponentially better on both sides of the ball. Then we need to get healthy at last. Perhaps hire a fire and brimstone manager. Unfortunately Jerry probably won’t bury his ego

Buxton seems like a good fit with Arozarena leaving at the end of the season and a gaping black hole in Refsnyder.

Yeah, he has said that and it sucks. Guy would be a HOFer if it weren't for all the injuries and he's hit 25 dingers this season.

I'm guessing that the reliever is Sanzatela. He's having a really good year even though his career has been a bit of a debacle. Could you imagine if we got him and he actually pitched worse for the Mariners than he did for the Rockies?

I'd rather shoot for Kirby Yates playing for the Angels. He was hurt at the start of the year but has been building himself up. He'd be a perfect 6-7th inning guy for now. He won't cost much as he is 39, but with his relief experience, he sure is better than Hoppe, Rucker and Simpson.
