What is Sam's market value if he has a similar season this season. $50M a year I would imagine....
Yeah, if not more by then. Is it a given that JS pays it? I think so but hes managed to avoid it their last two qbs lol.
RW got paid....

Not by JS. JS really has avoided paying for what was thought pretty obvious decisions the two qbs before Darnold. Has a team traded off their starting qbs like that? Seriously, three in row?

Can't believe you still doubt me after all these years. lol
2019–2021 (Seattle Seahawks): Signed a four-year, $140 million extension ($107 million guaranteed), briefly making him the NFL's highest-paid player.

Well, technically? I guess, since JS doesn't pay the salary, the team does. But JS certainly negotiated the deal. Shit, JS drafted Wilson, so who is it that you think negotiated Wilson's deals?

One big thing I would look at is how well did Darnold do in the biggest games of the season? I'd say that the two biggest games were the second and third games against the Hams (we were going to romp in the Super Bowl pretty much no matter what). Darnold came up big in those two games. His performance in the Super Bowl was blah, but he put the team on his back in the NFC Championship Game.

I am sure he just forgot that we paid him.

Im talking about trading RW to the Broncos before giving him another deal. He did the same thing with Smith, yeah he had given Smith a deal but he traded him to the Raiders before giving him a new one. Hes given Darnod a deal. But what if he was to trade Darnold before giving him a new one? Its sounds silly, I'm just saying its kinda JSs MO. He's traded the two previous starting qbs instead of extending them.

Im saying too its interesting, it takes balls to give up on your qb. The easy route is to just re-sign them. And doing it twice like that. He traded RW in 2022, so three qbs in five seasons? And win the SB in the fifth season. Thats some ballsy personel decisions

So, he paid Wilson, not once....but since he traded him before paying him a second time...he didn't pay Russ? You really do live in another world sometimes. Not to mention, there was another extension before the first one ran out!
Russ Wilson signed two total contracts with the Seattle Seahawks: his initial rookie deal upon being drafted, and one lucrative contract extension.Rookie Contract (2012): Signed a 4-year, $2.99 million contract after being drafted in the third round.Contract Extension (2015): Signed a 4-year, $87.6 million extension. (He also agreed to another major 4-year, $140 million extension in 2019, but this was effectively a restructuring that simply added onto his existing 2015 deal before it was fully completed)

I am aware of Rus's contract history. Of course there was a time when he was paid. But when it came to extending him again, he didnt pay Rus he traded him to the Broncos., like he did with Smith. And who knows, maybe he does with Darnold as well. That was the point i was trying to make. He didn't pay Rus, he traded him. He didn't pay Smith, he traded him. He traded them both in lieu of paying them. Could he do the same with Darnold?

I typically don't give a F about this nonsense but Sam being outside the top 10 is ridic. I would put him at about 7. Below Drake Maye????
Buffalo’s Josh Allen was No. 1 in ESPN’s QB rankings, followed by Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes, the Los Angeles Rams’ Matthew Stafford, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson. Dallas’ Dak Prescott, the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert, New England’s Drake Maye, Detroit’s Jared Goff and Williams rounded out the top 10.

Yeah he was 5th in Yards, 3rd in Yards/Attempt, 8th in Completion Percentage, 9th in TDs and 11th in Passer rating. Not sure how that is not a top 10 QB.

Of this list here I am taking Darnold over Herbert, Maye and Williams for sure.
