If we're sitting here crying b/c of Harry fkn Ford and I don't even know what we're doing.
He ain't gonna hit the second he puts that MLB uniform on.

Seems they are referring to Cal having the worst drop off in the history of baseball...Which is pretty damn depressing.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 12:36 amWhoever wrote that bullshit in the tweet body is. M's fans are "moping."

Apparently the Mets want to engage in a fire sale. They're keeping Soto and their good, young players.
Weaver, Minter, Brazoban, Raley would all be interesting bullpen arms.
Not sure they'd find a buyer for Lindor and we know the M's would never pull the trigger on him. But it would be interesting if they moved him.
They're stuck with Semien and Bichette. Bichette has a player option for $53 million next year if he opts in lol. What a moronic contract.

Not that content creators have any pulse on likelihood of trades getting done... but...

Robbie Hyde and LO M's continue to pitch Seiya Suzuki for Luis Castillo and cash or prospects. Divish said the same.

Dipoto is saying it will be buyer-to-buyer transactions since so many teams are in the running.
I take that as code for everyone is trying to offload their shitty players with enormous contracts. So we would get an aging, meddling, declining, right fielder for Luis Castillo.

What would this player be meddling in?Big_Maple wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 3:44 amDipoto is saying it will be buyer-to-buyer transactions since so many teams are in the running.

I'd trade the Cubs Castillo and young buck like Corbyn Dickerson for 2 months of Seiya Suzuki if it gets us out from that $$ next year.
I don't see the M's swapping bad money for bad money. They don't operate that way. Only did in the instance of Mitch Haniger b/c Ray was going to be shelved for 1.5 years and they were already familiar with Mitch.
If Castillo is traded, it will be for a rental and will include cash/a prospect back.
