The biggest problem with Naylor is that unless you think he's likely to bring back the SLG part of his game now that he's a long term Mariner (I don't), he's pretty much hitting like he has most years.

Most years? He was a rookie in '19, Covid year in '20, and injured in '21.

From '22-'25 he was about a 125 OPS+ hitter.

Yeah, most years. If you want to believe Naylor's going back to a .450 SLG%, meh, fine. But I'm not jumping on that wagon.

The whole reason the signing seemed fine was because he was quite young for a FA. So much for that. Implodes in year 1 at age 28....Just turned 29 a month ago.
