Best case scenario, imo, would be missing the playoffs and Dipoto/Hollander/Dave Cameron getting fired.

The team is now third from last in runs scored and dead last in batting average. And nobody's doing anything about it.

Another tough one today, but i thought they fought hard through nine innings and never gave up. Guys put some good swings on the ball but they just weren't dropping for us today. Like what i saw from Wilcox keeping it close but we just couldn't capitalize on it. Just one of those games, so we're just going to put this one behind us and focus on the next one. The good news is we don't play tomorrow so it gives us a chance to clear our heads and sort of regain that energy.

The Mariners live and die by the home run.
It's like a retard fukked stupid.
We have a ball park designed for small ball and yet refuse to play baseball.
Team won't win imho until we get a real manager. Not a Jerry yes man.

Every year he puts AAAA dumpster diver players on this roster and the team doesn't produce.
Cal had a career year last season and Jerry did not plan for injuries.
Cal, Julio, and Donovan have all been out at some point this season.
No consistant play or rythem on this squad.
What a FREAKIN waste of a pitching staff I will never forgive them for.

So now what?
I like the trade idea with San Francisco.
Give em' Kirby and we get Schmidt and Miller.
Donovan comes back but who knows what he'll be this late in the game.
Emerson needs to go back down.
At least Schmidt gives you pop and options on the infield.
Miller fortifies that pen.
I'd love to trade 3 or 4 of our outfielders for just one decent bat but Jerry has gone ball-less.

This deadline will make or break the team again. Piss poor management.

I am very much thinking we should be selling...After we leave the Dodgers mex week we should be 5 games below .500....at a minimum

Sell what for what though? Our main problem is not playing up to potential, and secondary is the talent on the roster.

Any visions of "blowing it up" and starting over are asinine as long as we have the same GM and ownership. It won't get better, we'll just be uncompetitive for a few years before getting back to where we are already.

It's about this time every season for damn-near a decade I say, just fire someone. I don't think Dan Wilson is actually the problem, or Kevin Seitzer. But just fire someone. Light a fucking fire and show the players their mediocrity costs people jobs. In fact, pick the coach on the team most beloved by the players and fucking fire him.
