If you have no interest why are you asking the question?Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:35 pmSo, is it safe to say that the wMLB is being paid for by the MLB for a 'dei' write-off....... similar to the wNBA?
Since I have no interest, I will not do the web search. I'm hoping someone just knows.

The real questions is, why would you quote me when you know I would most likely trash you for it?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:37 pmIf you have no interest why are you asking the question?Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:35 pmSo, is it safe to say that the wMLB is being paid for by the MLB for a 'dei' write-off....... similar to the wNBA?

A couple years ago my wife got us tickets to go see Mickey Dolenz, thinking it would be neat but not really thinking otherwise. I do like some of The Monkees' songs, but the dude is 80 and I have no interest in seeing a show where not only is the guy a geezer but 75% of the group is dead (and didn't create the music to begin with, and Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork hated it back then, so really, how into it could they have been when they were performing it in concert). I was so relieved when he canceled the gig.

No I didn't realize. And don't care. She's worse than Roseanne Barr.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:13 pmYou realize that's Martha Reeves. She's in the RR HOF. I don't think she would be considered DEI.
You want anthems she's got'em.

She's also 85 years old. I don't know what was behind using her, it's unfortunate that it backfired.
I would denaturalize and deport her straight to Haiti.

Ichiro and Frank also have "I did it MYYYYYYYYY WAAAYYY" in common....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:35 pmI've always appreciated Frank Sinatra. Particularily is older stuff. He lost ability but I thought he mellowed into a great singer. My mother who grew up with his music couldn't stand the older Sinatra. She thought of him as ichiro. That's what she would say, he should have retired.

I chaired a charity dinner at Caesars Palace for the blind in the mid seventies..... Frank Sinatra showed up and handed me a check for $250K. When I thanked him for his generous contribution he remarked, "Don't worry. I intend to win it back on the black jack tables tonight1"D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2026 12:19 amIchiro and Frank also have "I did it MYYYYYYYYY WAAAYYY" in common....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 4:35 pmI've always appreciated Frank Sinatra.
