Sad. Pathetic. Losers. Asshats. So many superlatives.

The only thing JRod can do to console himself is to head to the bank and cash the check for $124,603 he earned for today’s game.

Win or lose, he cashes the same check.
Perform or don't, play or don't, win or lose....you can throw in what ever you want for MLB players and it's true. Paid no matter what. Mind fucking blowing. I realize the owners are fat cats that can afford it, but who in their right minds things someone is going to be motivated when they know they could bust their ass or not, and still get paid the exact same amount with no fear to lose the money. Once they sign a big one? They become Josh Fucking Naylor. Good thing we handed Colt all that money before he ever did a damn thing. This sport is stupid, but this organization is even stupider. I wonder if Jerry lays awake at night wondering if only Kelenic had signed what he tried to give him!?

It would be fitting if there wasn't a single fan sitting in the stands for the Tampa Bay series...or a huge boycott protest demanding the heads of dan and Jerry.......
30k would come just due to rumors of a 3rd Jimothy night!

Next Up

TB 68-46 (1st in AL East)
NYY 64-51 (2nd in AL East)
HOU 59-57 (1st in AL West)
MIL 72-43 (1st in NL Cen)
CHC 67-49 (2nd in NL Cen)
PHI 61-54 (2nd in NL East)

If we go 6-12 we'll have done well.

A famous soccer commentator once said, "They think it's all over....... it is now"
I was just looking at that and I don't know about you guys, but I'm officially conceding the season. There's just no way. After those 18 games we're going to be about 62-72.

Thank goodness it's almost football season.
9 more days until Cowboys Hawks!!! This like the old days when the M's just got us to the 1st exhibition game it was a huge win. Almost made it!!!

Idiot fans show up for stupid giveaways. You could give away dogshit with Ms on it & people would show up. People don't come for the games anymore. Its fun when you compete. Clearly they don't. I regret supporting this franchise I really do. Just another reason you need non guaranteed contracts

It just stuns me that two leagues gave into salary caps know MLB was doing fine without one. No doubt in my mind the Union heads were bribed by the owners in NBA and NFL. Gene Upshaw seems like guy that would lap up bribes like a hungry dog...

Well, many would say that the competitive balance created by salary caps and revenue sharing has made those leagues more popular/successful and hence increased their revenue. And then that has led to larger salary contracts for their players. I tend go agree with that view.

It just boggles the mind that in a game like this that they really had to win, we sat Cal, Naylor and Donovan in favor of Wilson, Pereda, and Rivas.

Even if those three are underperforming, they're at least still capable of having impact ABs. And even though Pereda can handle a bat, there's NO reason Wilson and Rivas should be out there, let alone at the same time.

The 2026 Mariners are like Little League where everyone gets to play. The season is on the line and DiPoto puts Timmy Lupus, Alfred Oglivie and whoever the third-shittiest Bad News Bear was on the field.

The difference between the NFL and MLB are scabs. The NFL struck but the games continued with none union players. MLB players strike and the season is over
