I Pointed out the issue in Detriot before. He didnt fit their style of defense. Heres an interesting breakdown of his skill set. Physically he isnt impressive, short with short arms. His combine wasnt that great. What he is is a very good corner at certain things, zone coverage. He was considered a top 25 pick by everybody and the lions traded up to take him even though they run more press coverage. I think i have the lingo correct.

You want MM and JS to do their thing dont you? This is it. This is what got them a SB. The abiliry to properly utilize talent. Its not just finding talent, theres a ton of talent. Its getting the guys that fit your system. And i think MM and JS have been masters at it. This is why the seahawks were in a SB and the lions not so much. I am totally comfortable with MM and JS picking off disapointing players from other teams. If they want to believe they are smarter its ok by me because i believe they are.
It’s that last point that is most compelling when trying to solve why he was such a disappointing player for the Lions after being selected 24th overall. Detroit is one of the most press-heavy teams in the NFL, and Arnold’s struggles there can very likely be explained by this. He was asked to do something that was against his strengths

The crime deal is just odd to me. That it went that far. I believe theres lots of situations like this that never make it to the police. He had reported it and then seems to have tried taking care of it himself anyway. Thats going to piss the police off. It seems just as likely a deal where you shoot them a little dough and everybody kisses and makes up. I still feel odd about reporting my car stolen. They actually called me from jail and apologized. But it was out of my hands at that point once you involve the police

Sure. That makes sense. And the fact he chose us even though we only offered minimum wage vs. out bidding other teams is a great sign.

To add, hes considered a physical corner, good at run defense. Has the ability to cut through traffic and make tackles. You know MM and JS are all over that. Other than being small he sounds like a seahawk player. The reason they moved on from Woolen

The anti Arnold story, Montorie Foster...Latin, seriously?
Foster joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2025. But after he hurt his hamstring and was waived with an injury designation in early August, he returned home to Cleveland and began looking for regular jobs. He got his real estate license and even worked as a substitute teacher at St. Edward High School, his alma mater.

"I had a Latin class," he said postgame. "I don't know any Latin, at all
Thats true about teaching, you just need to stay a week ahead of the students
