I think you are attributing the views of radicals to 2 billion people, and I don't think it's accurate or fair. I don't like characterizing a larger group based on the actions and beliefs of extremists. It's pretty much what people who are antisemitic do. It's pretty much what people who are anti-Christian do.

2001-2012: 8,265 attacks and 38,187 deaths.

I don't go around pointing fingers at other groups, because everybody complies. Blaming other groups is a coping mechanism when you are just going along with everything.

The left, the right, the men, the women, the Muslims, the Jews, the blacks, the Chinese, the Russians, the Indians.... People naturally want to blame everyone besides themselves.

The truth is there's a top of the pyramid, and trying to figure out who is at the top is pointless, because they have zero power without the people at the bottom following orders. That being said, it's not that easy to stop complying. So, if you comply, I won't judge you. I comply with 99% of everything myself. I got my license to drive, I pay my taxes, I don't live off grid. The system is generally set up so that you will be more comfortable complying rather than resisting.

I haven't really studied the Islam religion, but I agree with all the points Walla makes. I'm not a fan of any religion, as they all seem divisive, but in general the Christian one seems less problematic. Or, if you just want to get super racist, the Christian one is associated with people that are less likely to carry out a terrorist attack. Which came first, the genetics or the religion?

No way I am going to defend ANY of this shit. But:

1. I just read that 85% of attacks (and deaths) from Islamist terrorism are, in fact, in Muslim countries.

2. I will still contend that the truly horrific practice of female genital mutilation is the product of extreme religious elements, that are no where near the majority of the Muslim population. Even covering head to toe is not uniform in Muslim countries. It's required only by the most fanatic regimes, as far as I know. In a lot of places, including the US, some Muslim women choose to cover their hair, but otherwise dress modestly and in a "modern" (Western) fashion.

Hell, even Saudi Arabia, which is ruled by a monarchy from a very extreme religious sect, has relaxed rules for women.
