Bernie has been harping on Billionaires buying elections. At least Steyer and Bloomberg are using there own f-ing money. Bernie is trying to buy the election for $97 trillion of OTHER peoples money to pay for his inane promises.

btw 97 trillion is almost $300k from every man woman and child in the US.

He is attempting to appeal to a base like Trump did to his. I read a thing the other day, its interesting this 78 year old trying to win the presidency on a base of millennial's, its pretty unheard of, and probably doomed. But if he could raise their turnout percentage. The deal being, they have been hammered now for years about how important college is to being successful, and at the same time college has become unaffordable, tuition costs have risen like seven times faster than inflation? He has an issue there, he is running with it. Yeah, other peoples money, those that got theirs already, in regards to those that feel they are being left out...

Why not just reduce the cost of tuition by rolling back all of those increases so that it is in line with inflation???? I think everyone would be for that.
Nobody has any problem with reducing drug prices but why are literally no one mentioning cutting the out of control tuition costs. Students need to at least share in the costs. Imagine how many billions would be wasted by students that were not motivated or suited for college going just because they were told they would be crazy to turn down "free" college.

I just saw a TV ad for loans. The woman posing as an employee was all excited saying one of her clients just got a loan for fertility treatments to have a child. Just think about that for a minute. All the lunacy they teach in schools and no personal finance. Combine that with just forgiving peoples debt just because an you would have a generation of people just borrowing to the point of bankruptcy.

I really don't care, but its what Bernie thinks can get him elected so lets see. I didn't much care for the idea of spending billions of dollars on some stupid wall across the border with Mexico but it was what the Donald ran on and it seemed to work for him...

If that wall returns 1000 jobs to USA Citizen carpenters, plumbers, electricians, roofers, masons, etc at an average of $70,000 per year then that's a 70 million payback in just the next few years in just California. Nationwide my hypotheticals would be conservative. Even if the math falls short..I love the message it sends to effeminately raised twerps like you with no sense of tribe.

Sad what they're doing to Bernie isn't it?

I mean.... he's a terrible candidate, but still.

Do you guys see what's happening yet?

The question is, does Bernie see what's
happening, again?

Self-Funding a campaign is great, but so is grassroots funding from small donors. What you don't want is a politician that's a slave to special interest donors.

Offering taxpayer funded services is separate from campaign financing and more of a platform topic. Voters can decide whether they think plans like Medicare for all are a good idea. In the case of Bernie's health care plan, he's always referring to the price of insulin being 10x what you pay in Canada. I think I would like Medicare for All. I would be able to quit my job without losing my insurance or having to switch doctors. I won't have to worry about an illness destroying my life savings, which will probably make me less anxious and live longer. Of course, he needs the Senate to have any chance of making it reality.

Pete and Steyer are out, which sends votes to Biden and we'll see about Mike B.

My expectation is for Bernie to go into convention with most delegates and not leave with the nomination, which will leave a major swath of voters feeling disenfranchised. However, I'm wondering if Warren drops out if that might open up a lane for Bernie to win the delegates he needs to secure the nomination. It seems like she should drop out given that Bernie is defeating her pretty convincingly.
