Are you saying that the conservatives who question whether Harris is actually Black are accusing the Democrats of putting forward a non-Black and promoting her as Black? That would be hypocritical. But wouldn't people on the left call this out if it were true? In the 1940's and 1950's, Black families were more stable than White families with fewer divorces and genuinely nice, orderly neighborhoods. Then in the mid-60's, Democrats began taking over the city governments and installing policies that destroyed the Black Family and although redlining was outlawed, they made it difficult for single-parent families to move to the suburbs. Now we have sanctioned riots that destroy recovering Back neighborhoods.

Then the Republicans began agreeing with the Dems that illegal aliens were a good thing. Thus undercutting Black employment with individuals who would work for less money! A boon for the business owners and money to send back home for the illegals. All the blame should not fall on Blacks alone but more to the point on politicians on both sides of the aisle who don't give a damn about constituents as long as they vote "correctly" every four years.

The Dems only have the race card to play, it's pretty much their go-to anymore - all about identity politics - make whatever group you belong to a victim, and they'll magically fix it if you vote for them. They've been banging that drum for quite a while now. Why?
They can't really challenge/debate Trump on the real reasons people actually vote. Le't take a quick look.

The economy. It was soaring before COVID. The Dems don't want to talk about that - but they try to pin the economic collapse on him, while any rational mind knows that's just not true. Dems won't talk economics because their only plan is to tax the f*ck out of you to implement Socialist ideas which will push taxes above 50% to implement to pay for all the 'free stuff' they promise. They know NO ONE will vote for that.

Foreign Policy. Trump is winning this too. Israel/UAE deal. Getting the US out of the awful NAFTA deals, that absurd Paris Climate deal, bettering trade deals with China. We're not rattling sabers with anyone.

Peace. Under Trump we are not at war. The table was perfectly set in the Straight of Hormuz a while back with those 'bombings' meant to draw the US into conflict. Trump said no. We're not at war - and this is a big one - what happened to all the terrorism? It's magically stopped. No war, to terror. Dems don't want to talk about that, so it's all "Orange man bad!" Who remembers the crisis the previous admin created in Syria with bombs?

Employment. Under Trump the nation had the lowest unemployment numbers in quite a while - particularly for black. Dems won't wanna talk about that. But, they'll try to blame Trump for the current unemployment numbers - again - any rational mind understands that's because of COVID.

Those are the primary reasons people vote in this country. Under Trump, the US was winning all these battles - (whether you want to give him credit or not), hence the reason the Dems won;t talk about any of these issues - the REAL issues. They only have one card - racism! "Orange man bad - if you vote for him you're racist." That's literally all they have. Biden's been in politics for 50 years - if he had any plan for anything - he had 50 years to reveal it. Suddenly, now that he has dementia, he has a plan? And as they bang the drum about racial equality, they add a woman with a bad track record on incarcerating blacks, who banged Willie Brown to further her career, to his ticket. Her approval ratings among blacks is quite low. Who the f*ck is making decisions for the Dems? How could you trust anything they do or say? No rational mind buys into any of this nonsense. It's absolute Twilight Zone what the Dems are doing. I don't align with either party, but it seems blatantly obvious what is going on.

And Lynn, you are correct about Blacks in the South. At the time the Southern States were mostly run by Democrats, the KKK was still alive, and Jim Crow Laws were enforced. I have friends who have visited the South more frequently than I have this past decade and they say things still aren't as they should be, but they are light years better than they were 60 years ago.
