How many games has Servais cost the Mariners?
Since Servais has been manager, the Mariners have won 293 and lost 289.

I thought you were talking this season so was laughing at the more than 30 option.

Of course we will never know but my guess is if JD had got Dave Roberts to come here we would have made the playoffs once or twice. SS was hired a month before Roberts.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Roberts was named manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers on November 23, 2015.[41] Roberts became the first minority manager in the franchise's history. In 2016, the Dodgers set an MLB record in Roberts' first year by placing 28 different players on the disabled list throughout the season, as well as setting the record for the most pitching changes (606) in a single season. Despite the injuries, the Dodgers won their fourth consecutive NL West title and advanced to the 2016 NLCS. Roberts received praise during the postseason for how he used Kenley Jansen in non-traditional closer situations. Roberts was selected as the Sporting News National League Manager of the Year[42] and was voted by the Baseball Writers' Association of America as the National League Manager of the Year.[43]
In 2017, Roberts led the Dodgers back to the playoffs, where they defeated the Chicago Cubs in five games in the 2017 NLCS. Roberts became first manager of Asian heritage ever in the World Series, as well as the fourth African-American manager.[44] The Dodgers faced the Houston Astros in the 2017 World Series, where they were defeated in seven games.
In 2018, the Dodgers got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season with a 16–26 record, but rebounded to win the NL West, finishing 92–71. Roberts led the Dodgers to the 2018 World Series after the Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in seven games in the NLCS. The Dodgers faced one of Roberts' former teams, the Boston Red Sox, and former Dodgers teammate Alex Cora for the championship. Boston won the series in five games, giving the Red Sox their ninth World Series title and the Dodgers a second consecutive World Series loss.
On December 3, 2018, Roberts and the Dodgers agreed to a four-year contract extension, running through the 2022 season.[45]

10-20... multiple games where shoving a reliever who had no business pitching in that situation (Gearrin early, Swarzack and Festa every time they have pitched)... he's lost games by leaving relievers in for far too long after they show right away they don't have it... pretty much every time that's happened the M's have lost it... maybe he's putting too much faith in them, but they almost always fail him and that's a decision he makes to keep them in there. Multiple games blown by failing to play proper situational baseball late in games with runners in scoring position (he refuses to move runners late in games via any tactic than letting the guy swing free)... I can think of a number of games where that happened. Failing to realize that Santana needed to be removed from LF had to cost the M's a few. Not benching Mallex early enough had to cost a good number of games where his play in the field and at the dish cost the team. Having no idea who to start as an opener... he still doesn't.

I think you need to break it out into leadership and in game management. Neither are his strong suit. We have all worked for good bosses and bad bosses and know the impact that can have on productivity and success.

Tommy Lasorda once said that if he could make it through the year and only lose 3 or 4 games due to mismanaging that he had himself a good year.
Re: How many games has Servais cost the Mariners?
Fans with perfect 20 - 20 hindsight would NEVER lose any games due to leaving some pitchers in too long or else yanking some pitchers too soon. Their teams would always sport [at the very most] 2.50 ERAs and give up only solo HRs once a week or less.....

I think Lasorda is right, 3-4 games per year is about as much as you can lose. There are just way too many things that go into winning and losing, and doing something different is far from a guarantee of a different result.
For example, say Millone is pitching a fine game and you bring in Gearrin to protect a one-run lead. POW, tie game. Well, the same thing could have happened if Millone had stayed in, or if Adams had come in instead of Gearrin.
A bad move could lead to a loss but it doesn't guarantee that was the only reason for the loss or that a different move wouldn't have had the same result. You just cant quantify it, and at the same time you cant just say, "We lost because of what Servais did". Sometimes that can be true, but far from always.
