Mariners game telecasts
Re: Mariners game telecasts
I used to buy an annual subscription to MLBTV
But I got frustrated by the fact that the price kept increasing, and they kept increasing the number of blackout games, and games that were only available on other platforms like Apple or YouTube. More money for fewer games. WTH??
I stopped buying a subscription about two years ago. Now I use a free streaming service together with a VPN.
If anybody’s interested IM me and I will send you the details.

I'm not exactly an expert, but it sounds like if you want it through your television provider? It costs the same as if you bought MLB TV. I am far from an expert on this shit, and will probably only pay for it because my son loves watching and my wife will die if she can't swoon over Julio with a little frequency.
Re: Mariners game telecasts
Yep it is 62 cents a game vs. me paying over $30 a game for Seahawks games in Boston. If you don't want to pay that, either you aren't a baseball fan or you should find an additional source of income....Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 1:15 pmI'm not exactly an expert, but it sounds like if you want it through your television provider? Fubo included it as part of their regular package and they payed the mariners accordingly. I would assume they will do the same with this. That's their whole marketing schtick. Comcast or whatever its called now used to include it as well. Them throwing into a premium package is what basically bankrupted root sports.
The whole streaming thing is extremely short sighted. If you want to expand your fan base you need to get your product in front of as many new eyes as possible. Fringe fans and supper casual fans aren't going to spring for this and then they will cease to be fans at all. Also how is the next generation of fans going to discover baseball. Basically they are eliminating the chance of anyone who doesn't grow up with a parent as a fan from ever becoming a fan themselves.

I've been saying this about streaming for years. Ask the Pac 12 about turning down $35 million per school so they could stream. Fucking dumbasses. I hate streaming. Let me flip on my TV, hit guide and watch. Bounce between games with previous channel, you know....the way it was meant to be. I pay for that, and don't care that I do. Buddies always telling me they save this and that by streaming. Then they come to my house because turns out they couldn't get that particular game! LOLCaptain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 3:23 pm

This is another reason why I'll wait until the last minute to see what options I have.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 3:33 pmI've been saying this about streaming for years. I'll pay $99 and watch it through the MLB app on my TV, fine, but I'd much rather watch it on YTTV (or cable/satellite) where I can still flip channels throughout a game.
And it'll most definitely be cheaper anywhere but Mariners.tv through MLB app. Otherwise the other channel would be available already. If a Mariners package on Directv is going to sell for $99 or more for a season, they'd want people signing up ASAP.

This reddit post seems to indicate that there will be a Mariners channel on YouTube TV for no extra cost.

LOL So hilarious. The cord cutters always brag about how smart they are and how much they are saving and then whine like bitches that they can't watch games. The phrase "Ya get what ya pay for" has never been more true.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 3:33 pmI've been saying this about streaming for years. This makes it seems like you have to authenticate through MLB.TV APP to sign into the channel on youtube tv. Just insanity that there is no clarity. I will just cancel obviously if it is free on you tube.
