Kepler would make sense. Ideally, one of the three young corner OF's steps up and becomes your everyday LF, but if not then Kepler is a good insurance policy. And if one of them does step up, then Kepler is a sort of ideal 4th outfielder. Then you sign Wil Myers and tell Pittsburgh they can fuck right off with their exorbitant demands for above average player Bryan Reynolds.

Per "these guys" there is actually an offer out to AJ Pollock. The other team with an offer is the Dodgers.

Also they've inquired about Michael Brantley who basically is a DH.

Pollock is good vs. lefties and can play all three positions I guess. Platooning with JK.
Hopefully last year his down year was an anamoly. 2019-2021 he was pretty good.
Michael Brantley, pro hitter, doesn't strike out alot, gets on base, similar role to Santana last year, mentor.

Until last year Pollock been good enough to be a regular, not just a platoon against lefties. It's obviously not what we wanted, but it's much better than nothing, and he may bounce back and take AB even against righties.

Pollock could easily just completely collapse, especially trying to hit in this ballpark. He had a career low SLG last year of .389. Even if the ball in 2023 is closer to the juiced version, I can see the park just destroying him and then he gets released in June or July.
