This whole deal seems to be trumps personal war, he's not replying on any sort of advice. He's got no grasp of military history or concerns about impact. I do not beleive this is Trump's war - I think he has been forced into this by who and why is the real question. None of this makes sense - and now he has to come out and drop clumsy narratives like 'terrorist regime' to justify this nonsense - I 100% dismiss that as the reason we are there. SOmehow he has been compromised by deep state or Israel or something - this 'war' out of the blue simply does not align with what he is being forced to do and say. "killing babies and terrorist regime change" are absolutely ridiculous statements meant to stoke the 'OMG, we gotta stop them" reaction from Americans and I don't believe anyone is buying it and Trump looks ridiculous trotting that shit out - no one beleives that - it was Israels taking points two years ago - literally - for anyone with memory loss. Same playbook being used here.
This is not any kind of defense of Trump - this math just does not add up for me - and when you add in the loooooooong pattern we have of Middle East meddling - this is just the latest installment. Israel benefits, defense contractors benefit, if this is to sieze thier oil, then energy companies benefit.
It's always about Israel and/or money. ALWAYS. Don't be fucking stupid or naive.
This is not about terrorism - whether or not Iran has engaged in nefarious activity can be debated - but I reject that as the reason we are there. That's simply the predictable 'selling' point the media is trotting out to justify it this time. Funny thing is that narrative never turns out to be true - which we find out later every single time - but our kids are still dead, the taxpayer is poorer. The fact a single person is falling for this nonsense staggers my brain. Have people not learned ANY fucking lessons? How many examples do you need at this point?
And AS ALWAYS - who does NOT benefit? The US taxpayer.
Wash, rinse, repeat, pull head out of ass and wake up. This is about money and Israel.

Seems they had in mind bringing in a fresh group of leaders they felt would be more friendly to the west. Problem is they killed them too. As dtrain would say, you couldnt make this stuff up
And this idea that you can encourage an uprising against a government by attacking it just doesn't work. All attacking does is strengthen it. No dissident in his right mind is going to criticize the Iranian government at this point. He would be labeled an agent of Israel. And that goes for our allies in the region, Saudi Arabia and whoever. The Saudis have basically been at war with Iran for years.
