Well, Grubb wasn't around long. We'll see what MM decides with regard to Fleury.
The deal with Grubb was a philosophical difference. I don't think the issue was his inexperience at calling plays. Grubb had never called plays at the NFL level either, but it sure seems it was more the issue of the run game. Kubiak obviously schemed them up better in the run game. Funny how all of a sudden our O Line looks pretty damn suspect with a new guy running the show, no?

Our run games sucks....and the pass protection hasn't been all that great either. You add in that the RBs can't hold onto the football and Darnold is back to seeing Ghosts? Did this all just happen, or do they miss Kubiak?

Yep being an OC for a P5 conference seems like a much more logical stepping stone than being a quality control guy or a TE coach....

May have been to enamored with the fact that he was in the Shanahan system? Still, we are a bounce or two from 5 and 0. The sky is not falling.

But the last game's 'bounces' were completely avoidable. Especially that dogshit play (and running back in the lineup) at the end of the first half.
That was the ball game. That was just unthinkably stupid at a Darryl Bevell level. (That's fun to rhyme)

If I'm not wrong, Holani had never fumbled before Sunday. I doubt they put him in before the end of the half and expected that to happen. I don't like the play call...have never liked short yardage type plays that are run out of the shotgun. Just stupid to force the back to be at a standstill when he receives the handoff when it is obvious to everyone in the stadium it's a run play anyway. But everyone does that shit now. Blame college for not teaching QBs how to be under Center, blame OC's for believing that is the new way to do shit, blame who ever....but that wasn't the only mistake in the game.

Darnold has been bad, really bad. The Running game as a hole sucks, not just that play. JSN dropped a pass that probably wins the game for us, but at least sends it to OT. All of that had to happen for us to lose a game on a questionable ball spot on 4th down. Again, the sky is not falling.
