Seems odd to be rejoicing and dancing in the hallways over moving on from the guy who has brought one of 2 major championships to what is probably the worst major city in the US when it comes to success in that arena.

Carroll has led the Hawks to 11 winning seasons in the past 14 years, including 10 playoff appearances.

He is the best coach in the history of professional sports in the NW and it's not even close.

I'd say respect is due.

Appearances are just that appearances. Marv Levy got Buffalo to 4, count'em 4 Super Bowls didn't win one. Pete has 1 count it 1 single UNO playoff win in 7 straight seasons but your good with that. During Pete's tenure... the 49ers finished 5-11, 2-14, 6-10, 4-12, 6-10... with 3 of those seasons under Mike Shanahan. They might not admit it, but having your season be over by week 8 sure isn't fun. I lived with a Niners fan during one of those seasons and he was miserable and jealous as hell of the Hawks.

I'm hopeful the new regime brings the same level of consistency to winning... and it was likely time for Pete to move on. But celebrating it is wild.

Yeah, Johnson looks great to me. Guessing he will be an option if they just don't hand it to Quinn, which they shouldn't.
