Ask yourself: How many of our hitters look confident like they want to be up with ducks on? Do they condense the strike zone with ducks on? When we don’t strike out a ton and put the ball in play we get some “seeing eye” hits plus get some miscues. Not to belabor a point but we still strike out way too much on pitches out of the zone and, over time, that’s a recipe for disaster.
