Free Agents - Cap Space - who stays, who's gone
Re: Free Agents - Cap Space - who stays, who's gone
Here are our RBs prior to Walker. I count 1.5 good ones.

Carson was a beast, Davis was great in his role, Penny and Michael were picks that were, IMO, mistakes. Rawls was a stud before the injury. The rest of those guys were low end draft picks or Free Agents.
I don't get your point? We should have over paid for Walker or forced him to remain here on a one year Tag that would piss him off? All because several guys before him weren't very good? Did you ever think that any of them would be? Again, Carson and Rawls are two that stick out to me. Mike Davis, again, was great in that role. Penny even had moments, I thought it was just a luxury pick we didn't need, much like Michael.

I have posted way too much about this. Hope I am wrong but I just don't get how a team that ran the most of any team just does a 180 and pays its WRs more than any other team and is hoping to get lucky in the draft that is a weak RB draft and we have minimal picks.....

It's a fair take. Although if you believe Donn, there was animosity. I have a hard time believing there was a lot of animosity and K9 stillD-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 8:16 pmI have posted way too much about this. hung out with drunk John Schneider at the parade anyway. You also have to wonder if the O-line is actually better than it was and that
helped K9 look good this year.

It wasn't animosity, it was about opportunity. I have no doubt he loves JS and the seahawks but he wants to work in a situation that affords him greater opportunity to be clearly the lead back. That's what I was saying, it wasn't about animosity, it was giving him a hug and wishing him luck. And if you listen to JS I think he really respects that.trharder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 10:35 pmIt's a fair take. Although if you believe Donn, there was animosity. Yeah I think that is BS. It kept him healthy and he got paid so what is the problem. Maybe they do the same in KC. Or maybe the Chiefs become a running team give K9 25 carries a game and make Mahomes a game manager. loltrharder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 10:35 pmIt's a fair take. There is no problem, that's what I keep saying. It was very successful, won a SB and got him paid. Both JS and K9 seem perfectly happy with it

Maybe JS didn't think he was worth that deal because he did split time....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 1:17 amThere is no problem, that's what I keep saying. It was very successful, won a SB and got him paid. Both JS and K9 seem perfectly happy with it

Yeah, that's the contradiction. They weren't going to pay him as lead back and adjust their offense to justify it. I don't think there really were issues to begin with, JS said they be happy to re-sign him but it was never really a consideration. They never made him an offer. The dea with the Chiefs was announced minutes into the legal period, obvious tampering. Walker had switched agents weeks before. He got out of Dodge so fast once he was able. Bears shit in the woods and k9 wasn't going to continue to be a seahawk. I'm at peace with it with how obvious it turned out to beD-train wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 1:19 amMaybe JS didn't think he was worth that deal because he did split time....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 1:17 amThere is no problem, that's what I keep saying. The speed of making the Chiefs deal, it's kinda interesting isn't it? Obviously no intention of giving JS an opportunity to match. Again, JS doesn't seem concerned. I'm gonna guess he knew about it. They cleared it with him. This is a little club, the agents and GMs. Nobody is going to want to piss somebody off. I'll bet that Chiefs deal wasn't a surprise for him
