We'll see where there record is after the 1st month. I guess I'm expecting a much better performance out of Kelenic than most of us.
I'm expecting a lot out of him too... but I'm not expecting much out of the pieces they added in F/A. Nor am I expecting much out of JP Crawford, our catching staff, and our starters past 1-3.

Evan White had and .838 OPS at Arkansas in 2019 and JK also had an .838 OPS..........at Modesto. He is young and has a bright future but a .838 OPS in the minors does not translate to instant success in the Big Leagues as I am sure Evan can attest.

Can anyone tell me what they see in JP Crawford other than a decent glove?

The guy can't hit for dog shit. His swing is long, has a massive hole in it...

Like with White we are supposed to ignore that because they both won Gold Gloves. Just noticed his home away splits were crazy.

I've got much more faith in White because at least he hits the ball hard on occasion and put up a nice OPS SEASON.

Crawford had a career .760 OPS in the minors... his best stint was a 40 games stretch in rookie ball or he's always been right at .800 or far below.

FWIW this year Evan White posted an OPS of .599 from a corner infield slot while J.P. Crawford posted an OPS of .674 as a shortstop.

I was going to say Crawford only needs to raise his Ops about 50 points while white needs to raise his about 200 points to be acceptable
