Seems Donald is flinching which is a good thing I guess. What happened to unconditional surrender and crying uncle?

I don't believe this for a minute. I just don't.“I am please (sic) to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,”

This is correct. He's lying. You know he's lying because he's Donald Trump.douche wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2026 10:48 pmI don't believe this for a minute. They are trying to create an exit strategy, they need a narrative. They will conclude the thing was a success and that will be that.
see this? I've read about this before, it supposedly happened before the Venezuela invasion and I believe the earlier attack on Iran, this is the third I've heard about.

Several accounts on the online platform Polymarket laid bets on a US-Iran ceasefire over the weekend that appeared to show signs of insider knowledge, according to experts.
Eight accounts, all newly created around 21 March, bet a total of nearly $70,000 (£52,000) on there being a ceasefire. They stand to make nearly $820,000 if such a deal is reached before 31 March.

Someone bet big on the downfall of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro just hours before the head of state was seized by U.S. forces in Caracas.
The unknown bettor had already placed a wager against Maduro remaining as Venezuela's leader, and doubled down less than five hours before the U.S. hit the Venezuelan capital with rockets, according to the Wall Street Journal
Re: No New Wars!
This is an unpopular war, gas prices are up $1.60 on my block, costs are going up, this is killing Trump's popularity and will impact the midterms. Strategically, if he can get out now, claim a 'victory' of some kind and get gas prices to come back down, that kind of momentum is what they'll need for the mid terms. Makes me sick this is how we do shit but here we are. But since this is really Israel's war, why now are they looking to end this? Has there been any actual wins, or is this another 'regime change' for he sake of regime change? Cause now we really fucked up thier leadership tree. There nis still no way I beleive Trump wanted any part of this - it just doesn't track. If he was war mongering, he could've done it his first term but he stayed far far away from this shit. This is inconsistant with him. We know it's all Israel - even he has not-so-subtly said so - maybe to shift the blame on them - I wonder if Israel is getting hit hard and wanting to get out now? It's hard to know what to believe anymore.

Trump, the hero of draining the swamp, sorry but I believe you've been scammed
Traders bet hundreds of millions of dollars on oil contracts just minutes before US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the US would postpone strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure.
Market data reviewed by the BBC shows the volume of trade spiked around fifteen minutes before a social media post by the president announcing the move.
The price of oil fell sharply after the announcement, dropping 14% in a matter of minutes. Traders who bet on the unexpected move would have made money.
Some market analysts say the unusual activity opens up the possibility that the bets may have been placed with prior knowledge of the decision

You can roll your eyes like it's just business as usual but I honestly don't buy that. Trump has had his photo op moments meeting caskets. If this shits true it's someone in the inner circle of the president. I'm not jaded enough to believe there's been many presidents from either side of the isle that would tolerate such a blatant attempt at self enrichment while Americans are being killed, unless it's Trump himself. The lack of ethics is unbelievable. Oh I'll hear about all the shitty things that has been done to him. As if that condones all this crap.

Someone in the inner circle... or someone who controls the inner circle. Regardless, somebody's gaming the system.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 3:34 pmIf this shits true it's someone in the inner circle of the president.
Is it? I guess that's why I'm jaded.
