This was shaping up into a magical kind of season and Jerry just took a massive dump on the clubhouse floor.

Nahhhh...Jerry is gearing up for 2022 and beyond. He's positioning us to blow past Houston in the upcoming years while the Astros make a run for the title now.

Well he broke this bullpen. Trading the leader in the pen. Here comes our downfall. What an idiot does not care bout chemistry. Do not trade what works when your in a chase. No wonder he was a horrible gm. Came here to make us suck as well.

Yeah another AAAA player. Already 24 with parts of three seasons in the show and a .193 career average. This is terrible. I'd rather take a shot at actually making the playoffs and lose graveman for nothing at the end of the year. Instead we bail on the season and pick up another "prospect" who has been a disappointment to this point. Now we get to watch this guy try to figure it out for the next four years while Dipoto touts his potential as the reason he doesnt need to add any quality free agents.

He traded someone who is a free agent at the end of the season for someone who has 4 years of control and plays a position that Mariners need help for next year. Again. Playoffs this year would be great, but it's about 2022 and 2023.

Might as well trade Haniger now, less than a day after i finally accepted the notion that the Mariners are a good baseball team with a 1995-like knack for pulling out wins.

What if this is some Russian Cold War level sabotage? We send over two guys to the division rival to pick up key inside information, sabotage them from the inside and help the M's in games that they are put into to compete. Then come offseason they re-sign and return to the motherland.
