My observation on Ferrer is that his heater is straight as a string and even DMoore can hit that. How our advanced guys could miss that flaw is beyond me.

He throws a sinker, without studying it at all it seems he's effective against lefties but not so much righties. With the rules he's going to be facing righties. Just wondering if that's what it turns on. Mariners feeling they could fix that

Performance vs. Lefties/Righties: Ferrer is highly effective against left-handed batters, holding them to a .186 average with a .304 slugging percentage in 2025, but right-handed hitters have found more success, with a .380 OBP and .422 SLG against him that same year.
Sinker Characteristics: His sinker often produces hard ground balls rather than pop-ups, and in 2025, some of these "ground balls" found holes for base hits due to opposing offense.

I'm generally in favor of separating defense and pitching, but when it's the pitcher making the bone head play? I don't know...
