Who says he hasn't asked? He isn't going to make it public, no manager is going to do that. You complain about him doing dipoto's bidding but isn't that exactly what he is paid to do? Every manager wants more players and probably asks for them. Look at what he says there, about being on a 24 hour schedule but the team on a 24 month one, he is speaking to it right there actually. The manager has to bend to the wishes of the organization, that is unless he is looking to be replaced
I thought he was getting paid manage a winning ball club... so far he's 348-360.

From the sound of things, he isn't really asking for much more than they're giving him... he's simply a lap dog to Dipoto. I wish we had a manager who fought to win, not one who coddles his GM's nutsack and says, "yes sir, anything for you sir Jerry."

Good for him, he gets to keep his job, lose in the process and he's perfectly fine w. that. What a winner we've found.
I understand you would like a different manager, personally I don't see what difference it make. Whoever the organization hires to manage the club is going to be expected to support the organizations plans. They are not going to change there plans to appease a manager, those days are gone.

Fine... hire anyone so long as they don't have to keep this giant sack of estrogen. I literally do not give a fuck who... only requirement is that they at least express their desire to win and stand up for their f'n ballclub.

I can't stand watching him cross-armed in the dugout any more looking like he's got to hold in a shart.

Forget about a manager costing wins or leading to more wins, just the simple fact of having a guy that I like and respect would make being a fan and watching the games more enjoyable.

Exactly... an ump fucks you multiple times in a game? I want a manager who is going to go out there and raise hell... I don't care if you need to get tossed 80 games a fkn season if it gives your guys a little edge and competitive fire.

And when you lose, you come up with an explanation, say it's not ok, and leave with a fkn plan to get better.

"That's baseball" is not an adequate response to losing. It's a phrase that needs to be eradicated from this clubhouse.
