I just hate that mentality. Live to fight another day when you're only down by a few runs.

That is true but our best relievers are possibly down leaving Thornton and Bazardo as basically our only options.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 3:38 amI just hate that mentality. Live to fight another day when you're only down by a few runs.

The Mariners will be grateful that the bullpen should be relatively fresh the remainder of the weekend after Casey Lawrence threw 83 pitches over five innings, retiring eight of nine batters after giving up six unearned runs but before surrendering two earned runs in his fifth inning of work.

Yep got a meat ball and weak fly ball. Idiots. Well hopefully Castillo and Miller Step up next 2 games. We win last 2 games again for 4th straight series. Losing a series streak to shit team as them would be bad.

Well yeah. In hindsight I guess. You could say that if the game is out of reach and decided to throw in the towel, but it was 6-4 and still winnable imho. He did his best under the circumstances. If Dilly doesn't croquet the ball we get out of the inning and now we're watching Bazardo closing the game out with a win.harmony wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 3:46 amThe Mariners will be grateful that the bullpen should be relatively fresh the remainder of the weekend after Casey Lawrence threw 83 pitches over five innings, retiring eight of nine batters after giving up six unearned runs but before surrendering two earned runs in his fifth inning of work.

To me he has decent stuff I mean he played in the World Baseball Classic, but he seems to lack that strikeout pitch. They were just waiting on the breaking ball with two strikes over the plate.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 3:54 amWell yeah. In hindsight I guess. This loss is clearly on Moore if not for that error we have a 4-2 lead wondering who would be closing the game. Muni unavailable so wonder who would take it. Now are we gonna be embarrassed and lose a very winnable series to a shit team to end our streak?
The downfall was losing our Ace. Even if we won we lose an even bigger piece then a win!!
