If Kelenic clearly establishes himself as a starting major league outfielder in spring training, I say worry about five years from now when its five years from now. The AL West does not look strong this year, pounce on that. If the Marlins could do it last year ahead of schedule, then why not? Putting a scrub in the outfield might cost you a couple games if Kelenic is ROY material.
Then I guess we jump off that bridge when we come to it.

As for Kel, there's NO WAY he's in Seattle before May.
Agree about Kelenic.

Agree to disagree about Zunino. To each their own.

And burn it too, don't forget that.

Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco, Nolan Arenado, Blake Snell, Yu Darvish, and Josh Bell were all traded this offseason.

One MLB Top-100 prospect (No. 19 Luis Patino to TB) was needed to acquire these players.

After dealing with agent Scott Boras to sign James Paxton, should the Mariners return to Boras in pursuit of centerfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.?

Bradley reportedly wants a long-term contract but this late in the offseason the Mariners could offer a two-year contract. If Mitch Haniger, Kyle Lewis and Jarred Kelenic all come through Jerry Dipoto can go back into trade mode to deal the excess.

Or not. :)

I don’t know. He doesn’t strike me as being the type of guy to sign a two year deal to play half his games with an under-the-radar team in a pitcher’s park.

I would not do a 2 year deal, he's not my type of player and I'm not confident the production stays to be able to move him for anything in trade.

But, IF their plan is to have Kelenic in CF and Lewis in LF, which, looking at them physically, makes sense, then just making the change now and signing a guy like Bradley for a year makes plenty of sense imo.

Put that one in the dare to dream category. Zero downside other than money which is sadly why it won't happen.

Looking more closely at his stats, you would definitely betting he is the 2020 version vs. the prior two seasons. Could go either way.
