Huard calls it

Post by Donn Beach » Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:45 am

Was thinking of posting it before, figure he should get some props now

pick to click...
Ziggy Ansah

“Penny stock. I’m buying low and you all can laugh but we’re going to do this,” Huard said.

Carroll has said Ansah is playing about 10-15 pounds lighter than he normally does. Huard thinks the time off with the bye week may have helped Ansah get back to form.

“I believe he had a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches over the bye week, he’s put on a few pounds and he’s realized the situation with a little bit of stepping away in this bye week like, ‘Man, as bad as I’ve been, I’ve got an opportunity here,’” Huard said.

Moore not so much...
thought the defense against the 49ers was a fluke
Prediction: Eagles 27, Seahawks 24 (OT)

Shotty too
“For us to go where we want to go, I think Rashaad will help us win games and he’s chomping at the bit,” offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer commented on Thursday. “We just don’t ever plan exactly how it’s going to play out. Chris [Carson] has been playing so good right now but, when Rashaad get his chances, I think he’ll play well.”

here is the Penny presser Tharder brought up, the guy is honest, give him that. I can see him getting criticized for not working hard enough before, but hopefully he gets it now. I think its interesting in terms of that article i posted the other day about making the jump from college to the NFL, suddenly going up against grown men that take their jobs seriously. He seems to be saying the same thing, he is getting better prepared to compete with them

How about trying to improve the damned offensive line. That would make all the RB's look better, not to mention Russell Wilson (the guy who got sacked six times today).

Where do they need to improve it at?

I would say they probably need to improve at Center, Left Guard, Right Tackle, and Right Guard, and will soon need to at Left Tackle.

Who knows, maybe Jones and Haynes can upgrade two of those spots. Britt and Hunt are both fairly bad, but maybe Hunt can improve. He's still young. If they re-sign Ifedi then I guess that will tie up too much money not to start him for the next few years. I don't know how long Brown is signed for, but he hasn't been all that good this year and he's on the downside. Lots of issues on the line.

PFF doesn't seem to think much of any Seahawk starting OL.

PFF thinks Marquise Blair is better than Quandre Diggs. So there's that. You're comments about the line are not only reactionary but one sided as well. Six sacks so therefore the line is sub standard. Look at what SF did to Green Bay. They couldn't even move the ball. PFF will tell you that their Oline is one of the best.

At what point do you give credit to your opponent? Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox can generate pressure against anyone. Off the top of my head 3 of those sacks were on Wilson.

True they have aging veterans in Iupati and Brown. It is going to be difficult replacing Brown. Starting LT aren't growing on trees. They seem to be set at G . The market is going to out price is Ifedi. He is playing his best football now. To carelessly criticize his play means you don't really know what you are looking at. Probably the same for Britt. Wouldn't mind going with a rookie there maybe even Pocic.

The line isn't perfect but the timing of the improve the Oline and after back to back dominant rushing performances in the middle of a 9-2 season no less is just wrong.
