Nats Ahead of Phillies!

Post by Hy Feiber » Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:51 pm

After Losing Bryce Harper to Phillies!

The Padres are 47-52, 19 games out, with hotshots Hosmer and Machado!

So much for these Monster Contracts.

Maybe Segura should try to get his OBP up to league average.

Well the Padres had all those hot young players and pitchers...it is not necessarily those big contracts they gave out....it is the young players that let them down

Nah, it's too cool to occasionally get hits in pitches a foot off the plate for that. Why make them pitch to you when you can swing at everything and occasionally get the opposite field single.

where are you getting nine years?...Peller traded Kimbrel, Shields, Fernando Rodney, Drew Pomeranz, Melvin Upton Jr., Andrew Cashner in 2016, that is when he blew up the team

well you remember they hired Peller and went on the "pellerplaooza" off season, the "rockstar" gm phase. I don't think its fair to say Peller is in one long rebuild going back nine years, that ignores that wacky all in phase. The prospects you are from blowing that up. Its a bit like Dipoto but the M's didn't go all in like that or blow it up as much either. I see he got Chris Paddack for Rodney, that was a trade. Then on the other hand, Espinoza is on his second TJ surgery. See who makes it the playoffs, Dipoto or Peller...
