SS says its a developmental year. Is that like developmentally disabled. He is 28yo, Darvish and Tanaka were 25 and Ohtani was 23 and they had no problem adjusting. He is without a doubt the biggest monkey wrench in the rebuild and probably wouldn't be an M if it wasn't for more ownership meddling.

I saw his comment and it made me think, either he is overprotective of his players to the point of ignorance, or he’s just plain ignorant. Either way, it refocused me on what I feel a systemic problem will be to any rebuild: the field manager.

I still have a (maybe naive) suspicion that Kikuchi is tipping his pitches somehow.

I think we'd prefer to see him featured on MLBTOR.

What a disappointment. The guy is dominant in Japan and not only does that not translate to good at the MLB level, but as the article says he's close to being the worst full-time starting pitcher in MLB this season.

And Servais is such a joke. "Developmental season". What other Japanese star pitcher has come over here and had a "developmental season"? Nobody that I can think of.
